Searching for roles on myCareer

You can search for open positions on this site by desired location, or by keyword. Keyword searches will scan position titles and job descriptions for a match, and will provide you with results based on relevance. All results can be filtered by career area, job level, and line of business allowing you to further refine your list of available opportunities. Consider creating a job alert to be alerted when new job opportunities become availablev based on your selection criteria.

Apply

You can apply for a position by clicking the Apply button on the position’s job description page on this site. Employees should not apply from the external site make sure you see the word "myCareer" next to the Bank of America logo at the top to ensure you are logged in as an employee.

Clicking apply will take you into Workday, where you will be required to upload your resume. In addition to your employment history, you may be asked to answer questions specific to the role for which you are applying.

Good to know:

  • For internal job posting eligibility guidelines, please refer to the job opportunity eligibility criteria for your region.
  • Your application must be submitted via Workday to be considered.
  • Resumes will only be accepted through our online application. We do not accept paper copies in lieu of a digital submission.
  • You are able to apply for the position via your mobile device.
  • We accept applications from individuals not currently residing in the city or country where the role is located. Our goal is to find the strongest candidate for the position, so if you’re not in the position’s location but would be willing to relocate, we encourage you to apply.
  • You’re encouraged to notify your manager before applying to a new internal role. It’s important that you are having ongoing conversations regarding career development with your manager, as they are in the best position to help direct your career. Your manager may be asked for feedback on your performance at any stage of the hiring process.

Once your application has been submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If you are selected to interview, you will be contacted by a Talent Acquisition representative.

If you are not selected to continue in the hiring process for a particular job opening, you’re encouraged to continue to search and apply for other positions that fit your skills and experience. Your candidate profile and resume will also be available to our Talent Acquisition team to consider for alternative vacancies.

Interview

You may be asked to participate in competency-based job interviews. The number of interviews may vary by role, country or line of business. Every situation differs, but you can expect interviews to be a mix of phone calls, in-person conversations, conference calls and/or video interviews.

We interview for competencies and may use competency-based exercises, assessments and screenings to measure key aptitudes, attributes and values that you will need. Interviewers will hone in on the appropriate competencies and ask applicable questions for the role.

Sample questions and scenarios posed to candidates:


 

“As you know, businesses, the financial market and technology are changing faster than ever. Tell us how you keep up with changes in technology, the market or your field. And give us an example of something new you recently learned.”

 

 

 

“Teams are often made up of people with perspectives and ideas different from your own. Tell us about a time when you worked on such a team. How did the differing perspectives lead to team success?”

 

Offer process

If we decide to move forward after the interview, a verbal offer will be extended and a written offer of employment will be provided for your acknowledgement.

While the timeframe may vary by location and circumstance, our goal is to get you started as soon as possible. Start dates, following offer acceptance, may be up to four weeks for U.S. roles, and may vary for other countries.

We make sure you are set up for success from day one. Your new manager will provide onboarding resources to assist in a smooth transition into your new role.
